Wedding Bells Hallmark Movie Synopsis

When New York City fashion designer Molly Quinn is asked by her best friend, Amy, to be the wedding planner and the maid-of-honor for her upcoming wedding, she is less than thrilled. Molly hasn’t been in love for a while, and she likes it that way, especially since she was hurt by a former boyfriend in the past. Though she’s busy with creating her new fashion line, she agrees to come on board to help plan her best friend’s wedding. Plus, Amy’s fiancé, James, will be a wonderful husband. What better way to show her love than “gift” Amy with a dream wedding?

Pulling it all together will take a lot of planning and preparation, but Molly is more than qualified for the job. Things go well, until a financial disaster leaves Amy and James with no money for the wedding. Now, Molly has to work her magic to give Amy the blissful weekend wedding that she has been wishing for.

Molly is reunited with Nick, a professional chef and bachelor who works at an upscale restaurant. They have dated before, but the sparks didn’t fly the first time around. Now that Nick is James’ best man and the caterer for the wedding, Molly and Nick are thrown together, often late at night, as they try to create a memorable wedding and reception for their best friends.

The wedding takes place at a beautiful but abandoned inn that belongs to Nick’s family. They’ll need to shake off the dust and completely restore the place to bring out its former luster.

Meanwhile, Amy is losing her mind, believing that her wedding is now ruined, which causes tension between Amy and James. While Amy’s relationship with James seems to be falling apart, Nick and Molly’s cozy meet-ups make them realize what they’ve been missing. But, after Amy calls off the wedding, and Molly returns to New York, James can’t get over the unforgettable moments that he spent with Molly while she was in town. Drawn back to each other once again, Molly believes that the newly restored inn will be the perfect place to have their own wedding.

A Bit Of Trivia

The beautiful moss-covered inn that was used in Wedding Bells was actually inspired by a well-known mansion in Russia.
