Russian powerlifter Julia Vins is going viral, with reports indicating that she has “the face of a porcelain doll” and the body of The Incredible Hulk.
The 18-year-old already holds three world powerlifting records and claims her astonishing appearance creates a schism between males. As far as those males with negative views regarding her athleticism, she says they’re “just jealous” of her physique.
Vins is capable of deadlifting 400 pounds, which the Daily Mail reports is the weight of a lion .
The unusual blend of beauty and muscular physique has reportedly captured the attention of fans in her Russian homeland, as she’s already attracted ore than 23,000 followers on Instagram.
Ms. Vins says she’s known as “muscle Barbie” in her hometown of Engels and that she likes this comparison, as she was quoted having said, “I like this comparison. It’s nice.”
People know me as ‘muscle Barbie’ – I like this comparison. It’s nice. I have these big, beautiful eyes and wear make-up. But at the same time, I’m strong. I can deadlift 180kg in training. I want to become as big as possible.
As far as the divide created by her appearance amongst the opposite sex, she says that while everybody has an opinion on her appearance, “they either respect my work or reprimand me for being a muscly girl,” but she’s noticed that the guys who are negative are merely jealous in her opinion.
Muscle Barbie reportedly eats five to six small meals per day which consist of eggs, rice, chicken, cheese, and vegetables, plus one day each week where she cheats on her otherwise strict diet.
She claims that since she was a child, her angelic face resulted in people referencing her as a “doll,” but she never felt like her body was in harmony with her soul and didn’t feel like she had any particular objective in life. So at age 15, she began lifting weights at the gym in order to see if she “could build some strength and confidence.”
At first, she “started copying exercises of the male gym-goers” but it didn’t make her strong. Then, she started powerlifting and “loved it!” Suddenly knowing that it was her goal to build muscle.
In 2014, Vins entered the World Powerlifting Championships in Moscow, Russia, where she won the competition. She achieved three world records in the sum 440 kilogram: 180kg squat, 105kb bench press, and 165kg deadlift.
When pumping iron, Vins claims she always wears make-up, even when she’s squatting.
I always wear make-up, even when I’m squatting. I think it’s important to look attractive in any situation. I make sure my hair is done up in cute plaits and ribbons.
