Elin Nordegren, the Swedish model and ex-wife of golf legend Tiger Woods, is apparently very good friends with Lindsey Vonn, Tiger’s current girlfriend.
An insider told Us Weekly that Nordegren thought it would be a good idea to have Vonn “onside” especially as she gets to spend a lot of time around her children, 6-year-old daughter Sam, and 5-year-old Charles, who she shares with Tiger Woods.
Not only that, but it turns out that the two woman have a lot more in common than just Tiger. Following Elin Nordegren’s divorce in 2010 from Woods, with allegations that he had cheated on her with more than a dozen woman, she found that she actually really liked Lindsey Vonn once she met her .
The source reported: “After meeting her, she found she actually liked her. You’d think it would be weird, but Elin loves Lindsey and they talk all the time. Elin likes that Lindsey is a strong woman.”
Moreover, the insider revealed, they all went on vacation together recently with the two woman spending plenty of time together while Tiger chilled with the kids.
“Lindsey is really good for Tiger. She’s strong, opinionated, and keeps him in line. Elin found that they are very similar and have a lot in common. They laugh and talk like they have been girlfriends forever,” the source said.
Following Tiger’s divorce from Elin Nordegren , he was linked to Lindsey Vonn for a while before the couple went public about their romance. Back in November, 2013, she spoke to David Letterman about her romance with Tiger Woods:
“We’re athletes, so I guess we have something in common there. We met at his charity event in Vegas, Tiger Jam, and, yeah, we were friends for a long time. I don’t know…we just kind of relate really well to one another,” she said.
