For World of Warcraft gamers, the movie based on their favorite game cannot come fast enough, be it either for the fact that they can finally see Warcraft brought to life on the big screen, or so they can nitpick the movie and go back to their game. But considering the movie is slated for release in June of this year, little has been presented so far by way of images from the Warcraft movie set.
However, Warcraft director Duncan Jones has just started releasing on-set images from the movie, alleviating some fans’ concerns that the Warcraft movie was nothing more than a movie-length CGI experiment.

Stormwind Keep is where king Varian Wrynn resides in the video game . However, in the movie, it will be where king Llane Wrynn (played by Dominic Cooper in the Warcraft movie) lives.

For many fans of the Warcraft games, the few images emerging of the movie had them wondering if the Warcraft movie was just a massive CGI experiment housed on a giant green screen. But thanks to Duncan Jones’ new images, it looks like while there will be some epic CGI in the movie, there will still be some parts that involve sets made by human hands. Duncan also reassured fans that he would be “leaking” more Warcraft on-set images over the next few days, so following him on Twitter might be the easiest way to get more long-awaited glimpses of the Warcraft movie.

Warcraft the movie (also known as Warcraft: The Beginning ) will tell the origin story of the battle for the planet of Azeroth. On Azeroth, humans are living peacefully, but thanks to dark magic corrupting the orc planet Draenor, and the orcs placing their sights on Azeroth, the humans must fight to protect it.
In the Warcraftmovie, Australian actor Travis Fimmel will play the role of Anduin Lothar, Wrynn’s champion. Also starring in the Warcraftmovie are Robert Kazinsky as the orc Orgrim and Paula Patton as the half-orc, half-human Garona. According to Fimmel, when he spoke to News.com.au , Warcraftwill explore the dynamics between the humans and the orcs.
“When everybody is first introduced to the orcs, they all think they’re monsters and really evil. But through Paula Patton’s character Garona we come to find out that they’re much like us in the way of survival and they’ve really got no choice — they either find a new home or they die.”
