Backstreet Boy Nick Carter is now a married boy…err, man. The 34-year-old singer married his fitness expert fiance Lauren Kitt on Saturday, in a ceremony at the Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara California. The romantic, sea-side nuptials features a star-studded guest list including fellow Backstreet Boys AJ McLean, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell. The couple exchanged their vows under an alter of white roses with purple hydrangea accents. Guests from the wedding report that the two recited vows that they had written themselves, and shared a very long kiss once pronounced man and wife. An insider at the wedding reported to Us Magazine: Another eyewitness told Us Magazine :
“At the end of the ceremony they shared the longest wedding kiss I’ve ever seen. A full minute later they were still kissing. They seem crazy in love and thrilled to be married. You could feel the love bursting out of them.”
Younger brother Aaron Carter was unable to make it in time for the wedding; he had been booked to play the Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington D.C. long before the date was set. His rep said that a plane was ready to go, but was grounded due to mechanical issues. Aaron’s rep, Steve Horning, explained the situation.
“Aaron signed a contract to appear at the Cherry Blossom parade in D.C. before Nick’s wedding date was announced,” Steve Honig says. “[We] realized there was a problem and figured out he could perform and get him to Santa Barbara so he would be there for the last two hours of the reception. Tickets were purchased and the plan was in place. It was a major operation to get him there in time. Aaron didn’t blow anything off and would have been there – it’s a real bummer for him. He feels bad he missed the wedding.”
This family just seems to have issues planning out their wedding agendas. Saturday’s groom, Nick, famously missed his sister Angel Carter’s wedding in February. His excuse? He was celebrating his bachelor party in Las Vegas with his fiance. Brother Aaron, who missed Nick’s wedding, walked Angel down the aisle instead. The family turmoil for the Carters does not end at weddings; sister Leslie died of a drug overdose in 2012, and the singer has gone on record saying that his family blamed him for her death.
Carter and Kitt have been engaged since February 2013 when he presented Kitt with a seven carat pear-shaped engagement ring during a romantic Florida vacation. If you want to see more of the wedding, you are in luck; the entire wedding of Nick Carter and Lauren Kitt was recorded for a reality television event.
