2016 Presidential Polls: After First Debate, Who Will Lead The Polls This Week — Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina?

After the first presidential debate this past week, some voters may have changed their minds about some of the Republican candidates. A number of them are looking at Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson in different lights now, and others think Donald Trump may have shown his true colors. A new set of 2016 presidential polls will be coming out at some point this week, and it will be interesting to see who is on top.

Before the debate, there was a Wall Street Journal / NBC News poll done that had Trump out ahead of the pack. Coming in right behind him for the GOP side of things was Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and former Florida governor Jeb Bush.

Ever since announcing his candidacy six weeks ago, Donald Trump has quickly flown to the top of the Republican Party, but that was before a debate of any kind. Now, there is a lot of talk that his huge lead could lessen after the showings of others this week.

One of those who is likely to see her name with the leaders in the upcoming 2016 presidential polls is former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina. Even though she has hardly been a blip on any radar so far, her name stood out above all others in both the early and primetime GOP debates.

CNN reported that Trump is actually going to damage the Republican chances of having a candidate elected to office. Still, he helped bring in the largest number of viewers ever for a debate with 24 million voters, journalists, and donors.

Aside from Fiorina, only Governor John Kasich of Ohio really stood out in the debate and made a bigger name for himself. He brought some great values to the debate, and he stood by them throughout the duration.

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson had some of the best one-liners and courteous speech out of everyone in the Republican candidate pool. His chances in the election aren’t the greatest, but he did make a name for himself and made sure that people noticed him.

Most of the other 17 candidates in the GOP race? Well, they were there and quipped from time to time but never really took the spotlight at all.

The newest 2016 presidential polls will arrive this week, and Donald Trump will likely still be leading the pack, but his stranglehold on it won’t be as tight. Look for Carly Fiorina to jump up and at least into the top five while Jeb Bush and Scott Walker continue to pick away at Trump’s lead.
