As Zynga sues Bang With Friends, some might be wondering why.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Bang With Friends originally released for Facebook .

Bang With Friends is an app that cuts out the awkward middle man and solicits Facebook friends for illicit carnal pleasure. Essentially, the Bang With Friends app lets you click whether you’re interested in another person, and, if both of you express interest, then an email is broadcast to both parties.

Considering how controversial this Bang With Friends might be, Apple decided the mobile version of the Bang With Friends app did not belong on the Apple App store . Google, on the other hand, allowed a mobile app called “Tits & Glass” to be published for Google Glass users .

So why is Zynga suing Bang With Friends ? Zynga noticed Bang With Friends was just a little too close to its previously trademarked games like Words With Friends and Chess With Friends. Zynga claims Bang With Friends “selected the name Bang With Friends for its casual sex matchmaking app with Zynga’s game trademarks fully in mind.” The Bangs With Friends lawsuit says this amounts to infringement because, you know, sex is just so similar to words, chess, and stuff.

The Bang With Friends company heard about the Zynga lawsuit through media outlets. They released a statement saying, “As a technology company, we take intellectual property seriously, and will evaluate the case in detail once we receive a copy.”

As Zynga sues Bang With Friends, do you think it’s fair for Zynga to own the rights to everything ending in “with friends”?
