Zendaya is slamming the Twitter trolls that called her parents, Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu, ugly, some of whom going as far as to say they would “cry” if their parents looked like them.
The former Disney Channel star took to Twitter to defend her parents , responding the best way possible. Not only did she describe them as the “most selfless people in the world,” she also commended them for their work as teachers, helping to cultivate and fill “young shallow minds.”
“First I’m gonna pray for you. While you’re so concerned about what my parents look like, please know that these are two of the most selfless people in the world,” she wrote in her heartfelt message. “They have chosen to spend their entire life, not worried about trivial things such as looks and insulting people’s parents on Twitter, but instead became educators who have dedicated their lives to teaching, cultivating and filling young shallow mind. (One of the most important yet underpaid jobs we have).”
Of course, Zendaya was way too classy to resort to the name calling of the alleged Twitter trolls. Rather, she chose to respond by leading by example, and ending her message with an inspirational message.
“Please, log out, go to school, hug a teacher and read a textbook…and while you’re at it, go look in the mirror and know that you too are beautiful, because such hateful things only stem from internal struggles. Bless you,” she added.

This isn’t the first time that Zendaya has had to take the high road when it came to criticism. During the February 23 episode of Fashion Police, host Giuliana Rancic made a racially insensitive joke about the actress, according to Hollywood Life . In a video, that aired on the February 24 episode of E! News, Rancic begged for Zendaya’s forgiveness. In a lengthy Twitter post, Zendaya seemed to accept her apology.
“Giuliana, I appreciate your apology and I’m glad it was a learning experience for you and for the network,” she wrote. “I hope that others negatively affected by her words can also find it in their hearts to accept her apology as well. From a quote we all know by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ‘Darkness cannot drive our darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.’ Let’s be that light and spread that love.”
