Looking for a new home? You can purchase Zac Efron’s old crib for a little pocket change.

Okay, maybe a little more than pocket change. It’s listed at a cool $2.849 million.

His lavish home is located on Woodrow Wilson Drive in the Los Angeles.

The luxurious Efron bachelor pad has two bedrooms, two and a half baths and a gated drive. A total of over 2400 square feet of room for furniture, cartwheels, whatever you fancy.

Efron bought the house in 2008 for $2.35 million, but it’s not a typical celebrity mansion. It has an interesting history: it’s a case study house.

What exactly is that?

Case study houses were built between 1945 and 1966. They were experiments commissioning major architects of the day to build cheap but efficient homes, most of them in California. Originally there were to be 36 of them, however, 11 of them went unbuilt. Efron has been lucky enough to own one. His was built by the late midcentury architect Rodney Walker. Walker built three of the Case Study homes.

Inquisitr reported on Sept. 18 of last year that Efron had checked himself into rehab for a cocaine addiction . He finished the stint (total of two) and is now clean and sober, even showing up at the Oscars with his sober coach to make sure that things didn’t get too out of hand.

Although Efron’s home is a Case Study house, his is listed as “Remodeled Beyond Recognition.” So if you’re looking for an untouched home, this one may not be for you. Spend your $2.849 million on a few Lamborghinis.

Despite his rocky last year, he seems to be genuinely rehabilitated. When speaking to Today ‘s Savannah Guthrie, he declared:

“I’m in the best place I’ve ever been. I’ve never been this happy before. I’m extraordinarily grateful for these guys and to be here promoting this movie. I don’t know. Things are good. I don’t know. Thank you for asking.”
