The Young and the Restless weekly video preview for the week of July 13 teases five episodes filled with Gloria, Kevin, and Michael. The family always manages to stick together, but sometimes it gets tough for them.
In the clip, Gloria (Judith Chapman) defended Kevin (Greg Rikaart) against John Abbott (Jerry Douglas). He wanted Kevin to get lost, but Gloria was not having it. She firmly let her man know that he was speaking to her son. Gloria confessed the truth about her sons to John — she’d hired two boys to pretend to be her sons so John wouldn’t know who her real sons were. There was a clear implication that John was going to have to forgive her lies if he hoped to keep his relationship with her going.
In the next scene, the family was together outdoors, and they were enjoying a beautiful time as Kevin and Jana (Emily O’Brien) got married. A surprise guest attended the wedding, which brought Gloria and Michael’s (Christian LeBlanc) past back to haunt them.
Michael identified the man who called himself River as his long-lost father, Lowell (Michael Gross). Unfortunately, the man told Michael that he didn’t know him. Gloria demanded to know where Lowell had been for all that time, which causes an argument. Kevin stepped in and put a stop to the whole thing because it was his wedding, and he wanted to move forward with the ceremony. Ultimately, family and friends cheered and clapped as Kevin and Jana kissed after becoming husband and wife.
Next, Kevin found himself in huge trouble, so he needed some legal advice from his brother, Michael. When Michael found out that the type of problem his little brother was in involved an underage Lily (Christel Khalil) and an STD, he was not willing to help.
A desperate Kevin tried to shove his way into Michael’s place while he begged to borrow some money. However, Michael didn’t want to help his brother with cash, either. He ended up slamming the door right in his brother’s face.
Finally, it was Christmas, and Kevin, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), and Bella were with Michael and Lauren (Tracey Bregman). They planned to have a wonderful celebration as a family, and there was even a giant present waiting to be opened.
Things were not quite what they seemed, though, and Gloria, who had been gone for a while, ended up shocking everybody by popping out of the beautifully wrapped box. She was not thrilled to see Kevin and Chloe together, but Chloe tried to keep things positive for Bella, so she said it’s all so much fun.
