Yolanda Foster announced she was leaving her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills earlier this week on Instagram, but according to a new report, it may not have been her decision to part ways with her full-time.
Although Yolanda Foster shared an Instagram post telling fans her time with Bravo had come to an end and implying that she had been fired, a source claims Yolanda Foster was actually asked back to the series — but only as a “friend of the cast.” However, rather than take on the lesser role on the show, Yolanda Foster decided to leave the series all together.
“Yolanda Foster didn’t want to be treated like a second class citizen on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — and decided to leave the show rather than be demoted from the main cast,” TMZ explained to readers on June 15.

According to the report, Yolanda Foster was offered the lesser role, which would give her more time to focus on her health and struggles with Lyme disease, but refused to agree to the demotion. In response, Bravo let the mother of 3 know that she was welcome to appear on future episodes, but only as a friend.
Yolanda Foster announced her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills departure on Wednesday.
“I would have loved a more graceful exit [than] Season 6 but sometimes we don’t get to control the ending of the chapters in our life………….. I am leaving what’s over without denying its past importance in my life,” Yolanda Foster wrote to fans on Instagram on June 15.
“I believe that every exit is an new entry and with that in mind I say goodbye to my @Bravotv Family as I continue to focus on a my recovery, my children and bring back the privacy within our home,” she continued. “Thank you to all the fans for your love and unwavering support these past 4 years. I am grateful for the housewife experience and all it has thought me. I’am excited about this choice and look forward to the next chapter of my life.”

Yolanda Foster joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during Season 3 as the ex-wife of Lisa Vanderpump’s best friend, Mohamed Hadid. However, while she and Vanderpump appeared to be close at the time, their relationship has since come to an end following the dramatic sixth season of the series.
As fans saw on the show, Yolanda Foster butted heads with Vanderpump after Vanderpump seemingly suggested that Mohamed Hadid had denied his children, Bella and Anwar, were suffering from Lyme disease. Although Vanderpump never said that the kids had Lyme disease, nor did she say that Hadid had told her they did not have the illness, she claimed Hadid had told her nothing, which many took as a denial.
In addition to Yolanda Foster’s feud with Vanderpump, she and Lisa Rinna often battled throughout Season 6 due to Rinna’s Munchausen Syndrome comment at the beginning of the season. While Rinna denied feeling that Yolanda Foster was lying about having Lyme disease, Foster slammed the former soap star for bringing up the idea of a potentially fake illness.
Since filming wrapped on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6, Yolanda Foster has seemingly lost touch with the majority of her co-stars, although she is believed to have remained friends with Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville, who were both demoted ahead of Season 6.
