WWE Rumors: WWE Is Slowly Having The Undertaker Go Through A Heel Turn

A little over a month ago, The Undertaker shockingly returned to the WWE ring to take out Brock Lesnar. Since then, he has been entrenched in a feud with the “Beast Incarnate,” which supposedly came to a head last night at SummerSlam , but it’s far from over. That match ended in controversial fashion, and it only gave more proof to the rumor that WWE is slowly turning The Undertaker heel.

Maybe he’s just getting up there in age, or perhaps he was just that desperate to get his win back over Lesnar. Either way, there sure seems to be more to it.

Ever since The Undertaker returned on the scene about a month ago, he’s been different than the Deadman that anyone has seen before. He has put back on the leather pants from his biker gimmick . He has seemed angry, spiteful, and vengeful.

He’s also resorted to tactics that are indicitive of anyone trying to play the cowardly heel role.

Twice leading up to the match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam , Undertaker delivered a low blow. Last night after the bell rung confusion, The Undertaker resorted again to a low blow on Lesnar when the referee had his back turned.

This was after Undertaker had clearly tapped out to Lesnar when the Kimura Lock was held in place. Yes, the referee didn’t see it and went to restart the match after the bell rang, but it was still a heel move by Undertaker to low blow Lesnar.

Either way, WWE has even said how the ending was quite controversial.

The Pittsburgh Tribune made a good point as to why the ending of the Undertaker/Lesnar match happened the way it did. Having this happen keeps Lesnar as a supreme babyface in WWE and shows that even the beast can get screwed over and lose a victory by nefarious purposes.

Paul Heyman kept the babyface persona going for Lesnar by giving his announcement after the match that his client had won. Then, in true Heyman fashion, he hopped on Twitter and ridiculed the Undertaker for collapsing after the match.

Everyone in the Barclays Center was not happy about the ending of the match or that Lesnar lost. WWE found a way to take one of the greatest legends of all time and get the crowd to actually boo him again.

The Undertaker is no longer in the same boat as Ric Flair and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin . He will no longer be cheered no matter what he does, and that was accomplished by placing him up against Brock Lesnar.

Since The Undertaker is acting like a cowardly or desperate heel, fans are going to turn on him. Maybe they’re setting him up for a major heel turn for a feud with Sting , but it likely won’t last long as WrestleMania 32 is in the Deadman’s home state of Texas, and that ovation will be through the roof.
