WWE Rumors: Major Legend Being Teased For Appearance At ‘SummerSlam’ — Did A Superstar Spoil It?

This year’s SummerSlam is going to be four hours long because WWE has so much planned for the event, but it appears there is always room for more. Roman Reigns has taken it upon himself to start teasing the appearance of The Rock at SummerSlam , and it’s kind of out of nowhere. It isn’t entirely known if he will show up, but will the “Great One” be in Brooklyn?

Fox Sports recently had an interview with Reigns to talk about a number of topics, and all of a sudden, he was asked about The Rock . He was asked if The Rock would be seen at SummerSlam , and Reigns gave a rather cryptic answer.

“I wanna tell you, but I don’t want to give anything away.”

Now, this could be a totally off-handed comment and mean absolutely nothing, or it could mean a ton. Reigns dropping this could end up being a huge spoiler, and maybe he didn’t mean to do it. Then again, maybe it really is nothing and just one of those “watch to see what happens” type of things.

After that comment, WrestleZone reported that Roman Reigns followed it up with a bit more. Maybe he realized what he said and that he may have given something away so he had to kind of save himself.

“Let’s just put it this way: It’s The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, biggest superstar on Earth, possibly. If he wants to show up to Brooklyn, he’s going to show up to Brooklyn. It wouldn’t be the first time and it probably won’t be the last time. It’s WWE. Anything can happen.”

Now, this seems like one of those comments where he’s trying to cover himself after letting something slip. The Rock could show up next weekend at SummerSlam , but if WWE feels as if Reigns spoiled it, things may change.

He has a good point, though, and it’s that if The Rock is in the area and wants to show up, he’s going to show up.

One more interesting note is that WWE apparently already felt like they had a stacked card for SummerSlam , and that’s why they ended up taking Sting’s proposed appearance off. If that is indeed true, throwing The Rock in there would completely blow that theory out of the water.

Back in late June, The Rock shocked Boston when he appeared unannounced at a house show. It was huge and generated a lot of internet buzz, and his last Raw appearance was unadvertised as well. WWE loves having the crowd really pop when his music hits without warning.

Roman Reigns may have given away one of the biggest surprises of SummerSlam when he teased The Rock possibly showing up at the event. Then again, the “Great One” may have nothing to do with WWE at this time and not show up. Only time will tell.
