Last week on Monday Night Raw , four members were revealed for Team Raw so they could compete at Survivor Series . On Tuesday, Daniel Bryan named all five members of Team SmackDown LIVE , and it showed a lot of brute strength. Many have wondered who would be the final member of the Monday night crew and fans in the States have already found out. Due to Raw taping in Scotland, spoilers have made their way out for the wrestler that completes the team.
Please note that there are spoilers ahead for tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw that have been confirmed. If you don’t want to know before tonight’s show, please stop reading now.
The official website of WWE stated in its preview that the final team member was likely to be named on Monday Night Raw . It wasn’t known who would join Universal Champion Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, United States Champion Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman, but fans were throwing out their choices.
Now, the final team member is known and the result has been spoiled ahead of this evening’s airing of a taped Monday Night Raw .
According to Wrestling Inc. , the final member of Team Raw will indeed be Seth Rollins.
During the taping of Raw in Glasgow, Scotland, Stephanie McMahon officially announced to the world that Rollins would take his place next to Owens, Jericho, Strowman, and Reigns — his former brother with The Shield.
Standing across the ring in the traditional Survivor Series elimination-style tag team match will be the five members of Team SmackDown LIVE : WWE World Champion AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Baron Corbin, Bray Wyatt, and Dean Ambrose, another former member of The Shield.
The segment with Stephanie McMahon announcing Rollins as the fifth member of Team Raw will actually open tonight’s show. She brings out the four previously named members of the team and then reveals that Rollins is joining them at Survivor Series .
After that, Stephanie makes another huge announcement by revealing the main event of tonight’s Monday Night Raw , and it is one that no-one saw coming. Stephanie states that there will be a Fatal 5-Way match with Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins.
The addition of Seth Rollins is huge for many reasons. His addition brings all three members of The Shield back together in a single match, but on opposing sides with Rollins and Reigns on Raw while Ambrose is on Team SmackDown .
Survivor Series is now less than two weeks away, and the card only has five matches on it that have been confirmed by WWE. If the event was going to be the typical three hours, but as reported by WrestleZone , this year’s event has been expanded to be a full four hours .
The show will begin at 7 p.m. EST and run a total of four hours. Before it comes time for the event to begin, expect at least one or two more matches to be added to the card. The three elimination-style tag team matches should take up a good bit of time, but not enough to fill four hours.
The current card for Survivor Series is as follows:
- Men’s Elimination Tag Team Match: Raw vs. SmackDown Live
- Women’s Elimination Tag Team Match: Raw vs. SmackDown Live
- Tag Teams Elimination Match: Raw vs. SmackDown Live
- Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar
- Dolph Ziggler’s Intercontinental Title Open Challenge
Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw will likely have all of its results spoiled before it airs in the United States, but that doesn’t make it any less important. Stephanie McMahon’s announcement of Seth Rollins as the final member of Team Raw is huge for Survivor Series as it makes for interesting match-ups. On both sides of the ring will be top champions, former members of The Shield, and members of The Wyatt Family facing off against one another.
