WWE News: More Big Names Rumored For Huge Ladder Match At ‘WrestleMania 31’

The card for WrestleMania 31 isn’t that great so far, and the event is less than a month away now. One of the most anticipated matches though, is the Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Title currently held by Bad News Barrett. It’s pretty much turning into a Money In The Bank match for the IC strap, and more big names are being added or rumored all the time.

So far, there are only two confirmed participants in the big match and WWE has that solidly in place with Barrett and R-Truth.

According to that graphic, there are only four remaining spots left in the match, but that likely won’t be the case. If you don’t want to know SPOILERS for what happens at WWE SmackDown on Thursday, then stop reading now.

Per WrestleZone , Dolph Ziggler has been officially added to the ladder match. He opened up the SmackDown tapings by coming out to inform the world that he was going to be in the match on March 29 at WrestleMania 31 .

Now, happenings later in the night of the tapings had a huge brawl happen after the main event which had Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose defeat Luke Harper and Bad News Barrett. The match was ultimately won by Ziggler and Ambrose, and R-Truth was also out there on commentary.

When it was over, a big fight broke out between everyone and R-Truth tries to leave with the Intercontinental Title. Daniel Bryan comes out and stops him and starts a giant “YES” chant.

As the crowd is going crazy, Bryan is attacked by Stardust who takes the title and climbs to the top of a ladder. The show ends with Stardust holding the title and sitting high in the sky as all others stand below.

With all of that happening at the SmackDown taping, the participants in the ladder match at WrestleMania look like this:

  • Bad News Barrett (champion)
  • R-Truth – confirmed
  • Dolph Ziggler – confirmed
  • Dean Ambrose
  • Daniel Bryan
  • Stardust
  • Luke Harper

With seven big names in it already, that would seem like all that’s needed for that match, since there is a lot of star power in it. Still, there is more, as a longtime WWE veteran is also teasing having a spot in that match.

It appears now as if the Goldust vs. Stardust match at WrestleMania 31 is off, and this could be a great spot for the bizarre one to end up.

WrestleMania 31 could be great, but the card needs to be built up more, and this ladder match for the Intercontinental Title is a great start. WWE could have an awesome event on their hands, but there are a lot of big names being thrown into just one match.
