Conor McGregor made a lot of comments disparaging the WWE Universe and almost all the wrestlers in the locker room. Some fans believe Conor is just acting out as he has done his entire career. Others believe that Conor is working the fans and plans to join the WWE down the road. CM Punk was on Hot 97 with Peter Rosenberg and said he believes that McGregor was working the entire WWE locker room.
What is interesting is that CM Punk was one of the people that Conor McGregor mentioned in his rant. However, Punk doesn’t seem to care too much about what Conor said because he just feels that McGregor is trolling everyone right now.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Conor McGregor launched into a tirade about the wrestlers in the WWE locker room, all of whom McGregor said he could take. It resulted in a number of wrestlers, including Roman Reigns and Ric Flair, coming onto Twitter and responding to the Conor insults. McGregor even mentioned Brock Lesnar and CM Punk in his tirade.
“I have thought about it. For the most part, I think these guys are [expletives], to be honest. They’re messed up [expletives], if you ask me. Fair play to Brock [Lesnar]; he got in and fought, but at the end of the day, he was juiced up to the [expletive] eyeballs. How can I respect that? The other guy [CM Punk] hasn’t fought yet, so I don’t know about him yet.”
Punk has always been many things to many people…

While many WWE stars went on the defensive against Conor McGregor, CM Punk thinks everyone looks stupid for doing so. He especially was critical of people like Ric Flair, who CM Punk said should know better when hearing what Conor had to say. CM Punk finished by saying that fighting on Twitter between the WWE stars and Conor McGregor is embarrassing for everyone.
CM Punk then added fuel to the fire that Conor McGregor started. The former WWE champion and former huge crowd favorite basically said that Conor wasn’t completely wrong about the WWE locker room.

CM Punk said that no one has to be tough to be in the WWE locker room anymore and says it is even lesser so today than when he was there just two years ago. Punk said it is a completely different world than it was when guys like Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, Undertaker, and Edge would toughen a person up and make them fight for their spot.
It wasn’t just the WWE locker room that fell for the Conor McGregor trolling attempts, but also those outside the WWE. McGregor is still trying to push buttons, such as when the Inquisitr reported that Conor called John Cena “fat” and a failure. It will be interesting to see if Cena responds to the Conor McGregor rants at all.

The interview with CM Punk was also about promoting the new documentary on FS1 called The Evolution of Punk , which debuted tonight. CM Punk, it seems, has no intentions or desires to ever return to professional wrestling, as he said that he doesn’t even think he could still perform in front of crowds because he got it all out of his system through the years.
Instead, CM Punk plans to head into Conor McGregor territory as he prepares for his UFC career and his first fight against Mickey Gall next month. Win or lose, CM Punk has a lot to prove to himself and the world of MMA. Maybe if he wins, he can be one of the few that Conor McGregor pays respect to in the future.
