WWE News: WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair Tells WWE Superstar Natalya ‘Kill Yourself’ In SmackDown Promo

We all know that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has been known as gold on the microphone for most of his career. In fact, most would say that his promos are what brought you into the arena. While his wrestling always made you stick around once he talked you into the building, the cool part is that Flair could just do it all. We all love Flair for it and he is now a two-time WWE Hall of Famer because of his wonderful career in the world of pro-wrestling.

Now he manages his daughter Charlotte, who happens to be the current WWE Women’s Champion. Before WrestleMania 32 , she was the WWE Diva’s Champion as well. Once that title was retired in favor of the new title, most assumed that a new woman would be holding gold. However, it was Ric Flair who made sure that did not happen. He has watched his daughter’s back storyline wise for some time. However, outside the ring it seems to be the opposite. She seems to be the one having to watch out for him, funny enough.

Sometimes however, you just cannot stop Flair from going too far. On Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown taping, Ric Flair along with his daughter Charlotte were in the ring with the #1 contender for the WWE Women’s Title, Natalya. The three were guests on Dean Ambrose’ “Ambrose Asylum” talk show, where they were talking up the Women’s Title match this Sunday. During the segment, Flair got all worked up like he does.

He got all fired up talking about how he’s beaten Bret Hart all across the world and ended up telling Natalya to “kill herself” during the promo. While the segment will likely be edited so that this “slip of the tongue” does not make air, it should be noted that WWE does not take well to things like this.

Interestingly enough, WWE has been contemplating the idea of having Charlotte turn on her father eventually. This would push her into truly going solo, away from her father. She was doing this well enough when she became a champion last year, but WWE apparently thought she needed him to get over more as a heel. It honestly worked out well for Charlotte, as she became a much better bad girl with her father helping her.

It seemed to be that WWE was planning to eventually have Charlotte break away from her father around WWE SummerSlam , but with a flub like this, it could be done sooner rather than later. While WWE does like Flair a lot, and he is obviously helping his daughter well, things like this usually don’t sit well due to the PG world WWE is in now. Could WWE take Flair off television due to this? There is a possibility. They have taken people off television, and even fired people for less than this.

Clearly the “kill yourself” line was most likely a mistake on Ric’s part, but it very well could have happened on WWE RAW instead of SmackDown . That said, what if it did air live? This is certainly crossing the minds of people in management.

At WWE Payback , Nattie will take on Charlotte for the Women’s Title and her uncle Bret Hart will be on the outside watching her back. While he clearly is not loving the idea of being at Payback , he is more than happy to support his niece. It will be interesting to see how big of a role Ric Flair will play and if Bret might do something that could help write him out for a bit of time.

Charlotte is expected to retain regardless, as she is supposedly set to hold the title until at least SummerSlam . WWE could always pull the trigger and have Nattie win in a shocking move, but it does seem doubtful that Charlotte would lose the Women’s Title in her first defense of it.
