Windows 10 is the hope that many Windows 8 users have been holding out for. Windows 8 was supposed to take Microsoft to new levels, and reportedly was supposed to make usability easier for PC users. And while there are plenty who were satisfied with the new world of apps and tiles, many PC users were greatly dissatisfied, and they wanted nothing more than to revert back to their good-old Windows 7 days.

Well, Windows 8 suffers can rest easy. It looks like Microsoft has been paying attention to customer feedback, because some big changes are expected with the coming of Windows 10. For the past couple of months, sites have been taking notes and keeping consumers updated on what Windows 10 could be bringing to the table, and one of the biggest – or should we say most wanted – changes is the return of the Start Menu.
According to the Yahoo! Tech , Windows 10 is expected to revive the Start Menu, a feature that many Windows users seriously missed. The Start Menu is said to include a traditional list of programs, but will still include a customizable panel of live tiles for those who have adjusted and enjoy that feature.
What else are Microsoft consumers expecting from this update? Many are hoping that Microsoft will make overall usability easier for the busy multitasker, and according to the Wall Street Journal , Microsoft is doing just that. With Windows 10, Microsoft is reportedly going to allow users to create multiple desktops that they can toggle between.
“Taking a page from Apple’s Mac OS X, Windows 10 will allow you to create multiple virtual desktops that you can toggle between — perhaps one would focus on your work while another concentrates all of those social media distractions. A taskbar will allow you to view thumbnails of the different spaces, so you can easily move between them.”
From the looks of things, Windows 10 appears promising. Are you one of the many users looking forward to the Windows 10 release? Do you think Microsoft will deliver the PC experience that users want? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
