Ever since it was announced last week that Tamar Braxton would not be returning for the upcoming third season of The Real , fans of the daytime talk show have been speculating about whether or not the Fox show will be replacing Braxton with a brand new co-host.
Producers of The Real have yet to officially speak out about regarding reports that the show will welcome a new host to sit alongside Braxton’s former colleagues, Adrienne Bailon, Tamara Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai, and Loni Love, though a slew of reports have suggested that the show does, in fact, have big plans to bring in a replacement.
Bossip claimed last week that The Real’s executive producer, Rachel Miskowiec, who is rumored to be the person Tamar claimed “stabbed her in the back” in a candid Instagram post , has already chosen Braxton’s replacement in the form of Scream Queens actress Keke Palmer.
According to an insider who spoke to the site, Rachel was looking to replace Tamar with Keke, as the source alleged that Rachel has been a fan of Palmer’s ever since the two worked together on a TV pilot last year.
A source alleged to the site that Keke is “on the fast track to being in that role” formally taken by Tamar because the actress “of course wants to do another talk show” and already has a great relationship with Miskowiec.
However, BET is now denying Bossip’s claims and alleging that Keke is simply too busy with her acting career to join The Real as Tamar Braxton’s permanent replacement.
A source close to KeKe confirmed that Palmer “is not currently considering joining the daily talk show, because her schedule is too packed with other projects,” which includes her return for Season 2 of the Ryan Murphy produced drama, Scream Queens .
Keke also denied the widely speculated claims that she would be taking over Braxton’s seat on the daytime talk show on Twitter, tweeting out on May 28, “I’m not hosting The Real . But I am still doing my talk show.”
Producers of The Real have yet to officially comment on reports that they’re looking for a new co-host to replace Tamar on the show, though the Jasmine Brand claimed earlier this month that whether or not Braxton will be replaced is actually still up in the air .
Following the shocking news that Braxton would not be returning for The Real’s third season, the site revealed that Warner Bros. had “not determined” if a replacement would be brought in to take over Braxton’s seat or if the series would continue with four co-hosts in the form of Tamara, Adrienne, Loni, and Jeannie, who are reported to be continuing on.
Tamar and fans of The Real have taken to social media since speculation began that the show was on the search for a Braxton replacement, with a slew of viewers blasting the talk show over the possibility that a new co-host could be brought in to fill Braxton’s now vacant chair.
“Nobody can replace Tamar, all of those girls had a bond. Replacing her with someone else is gonna be so weird,” @tamartian_xo tweeted out, while @LeahHiggsHer wrote on the social media site, “that show is about to be cancelled. NO ONE can replace TAMAR ESTINE BRAXTON.”
“They don’t need no replacements cause can’t nobody replace Tamar and that’s just real facts!” @GeonnaCharnae continued on the 140-character site, while @LadeyyC wrote, “#TheReal tryna figure out WHO in the world they think gone be able to replace Tamar…… NOBODYYYY.”
