White Google Nexus 4 Pulled From Play Store

The White version of the Google Nexus 4 has been pulled from the Google Play Store.

The 8GB setup for the limited-edition Google Android powered device sold out earlier in the week, and the 16GB model sold out over the weekend.

The Google Play store sales page now simply reads “no longer available for sales” in the United States.

While the White version of the device has been removed from the Google Play Store, the black version of the Nexus 4 still show availability.

In a simple statement, Google states:

“The Limited Edition White Nexus 8GB and 16GB are sold out on Google Play.”

All three black Nexus 4 listings are still showing with the “in stock” tag, which likely means Google isn’t toning down the device’s presence. The black Nexus 4 devices are also listed with fast shipping times.

Buyers are still greatly anticipating the release of the Google Nexus 5′ but few details about that devices specs and release date are known.

If you are a T-Mobile customer’ you can still pick up the white Google Nexus 4 from the US wireless carrier. Once those devices are sold out’ there will likely be no more of the limited-edition smartphones offered under the current model number.

Releasing a new advanced Google Nexus 5 couldn’t arrive quickly enough for Google. The Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4 have both failed to receive the type of sales volumes investors have come to expect from the cellular giants. If Google releases a new device that pushes the industry forward’ the company could finally have a stock Android device that can fully compete with Apple and Samsung.

Do you pick up the white Nexus 4 smartphone by LG or are you waiting for the Google Nexus 5 to be released?
