After Wesley Snipes battled years of legal troubles, some people in the industry had written him off after he was convicted for failing to file his tax returns. After his three year sentence, Snipes made a serious effort to get his career back on track.

Now, after almost two years out of prison, Snipes is making his way to NBC for his own show. According to the Hollywood Reporter , Wesley will lead a drama pilot called Endgame .

According to the Hollywood Reporter , the show will take place in Las Vegas and will also star Philip Winchester. Winchester’s character is a former-sniper-turned-security-expert who is pulled towards a mysterious conspiracy, which forces him into a life of heroic challenges to save innocent people’s lives.

Wesley Snipes is set to play Johnson, who is described as “an unflappable guy with a dry sense of humor. Highly intelligent and analytical. Mysterious and unreadable. As pit boss for The Game, he keeps an eye on the big picture but is also capable of cleaning up a mess when things spiral too far out of control.”

If the character descriptions aren’t enough, then you might be impressed to find out that the same minds behind the NBC hit The Blacklist are also behind this project. Producers John Davis and John Fox are heading up Endgame .

As for Snipes, he got his feet wet again in the 2014 action film The Expendables 3 , which starred a bevy of action heroes, including Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Mel Gibson.

Snipes hasn’t completely escaped his legal troubles. At the premiere of The Expendables 3 the actor was served with legal documents on the red carpet. According to RadarOnline , Snipes is currently being sued by Sitrick & Company PR firm for “failure to pay fees associated with work the group did when the actor was facing felony tax evasion charges.”

The documents stated that he must, “furnish information to aid in enforcement of a money judgement.”

Hopefully, the news of Endgame means that Snipes will have a good 2015.
