For potheads, there’s now a hookup app reminiscent of Tinder that’s designed to cater to stoners: the High There! app.
High There!’s CEO, Todd Mitchem, described the service as a new “social connectivity app” intended for cannabis lovers, Fast.co reported. The report quoted an email from Mitchem in which said that he “hated dating on other sites and apps” due to the lack of those who shared his passion for pot.
I hated dating on other sites and apps because as soon as the idea of my cannabis consumption came up – date over. I actually walked out of a date (after paying of course) and said to myself, ‘that’s it.’ Weeding out the Ms. Wrong from Ms. Right was complex. Selfishly I hope this helps others like me.
The app is similar in functionality to other dating apps where one creates a profile and the app matches potheads with other nearby connoisseurs of cannabis sharing similar interests in an attempt to connect like-minded stoners with one another.
High There! isn’t just for dating, although that will presumable be what it’s primarily used for, as Mitchem indicated that the “cancer patient” in need of “friends and support” can use the app to find where others go to “buy great products legally” and that he had recently connected with a guy and discussed weed, life and established a friendship with the man.
That cancer patient who needs friends and support, the guy who lands in Denver and does not know where people go to buy great products legally, they can also connect. Just the other day I connected with a dude and talked back and forth for a while about life, weed, and built a friendship
The High There! app only operates in states within the U.S. where cannabis is either completely legal or at least legal for medicinal use.
The app is available for download on the Google Play store, where it had a rating of 2.3 stars with 1 star ratings from users such as Cass S who said that the app needed to be “nationwide!” and that it “won’t catch on, good job guys.”
On the Google Play store, the app’s developers describe the app as a “new and fun way” to connect and share experiences with “like-minded cannabis consuming people near you.

What do you think, is High There! the new Tinder for stoners?
