Rugby union fans can relive highlights, as well as full streaming replays of all three England vs. Australia matches in the three-match series Down Under that wrapped up on Saturday. It was a history-making series that saw England score their first-ever three-match whitewash over the Wallabies, and the first three-game series sweep of Australia on Australian turf since the South Africa Springboks pulled off the feat in 1971.
Just nine months after their humiliating exit from the 2015 Rugby World Cup at the group stage — a World Cup hosted by England and a debacle that included a loss to Australia, that cost Coach Stuart Lancaster his job — England traveled to Brisbane on June 11 and stunned the Wallabies with a 39-28 pounding.
At the time, 39 points was the highest total England had ever compiled against Australia.

One week later, England went for their first series win in Australia, and grabbed it, with a more defensive-minded 23-7 shutdown of their hosts.
“It’s tough, but rugby is a game about getting up off the floor and fighting back,” Australia Coach Michael Cheika said after the second match that sealed the series defeat.
“A lot of chaps want to kick you when you are down, but you’ll always keep the scars and the bruises for later on, remember where they are.”
On Sunday, Australia, already stinging from the unprecedented series loss, came out determined to hold off the whitewashing, and held a hard-earned one-point lead at the half, 18-17, before a wild second half saw England again top their all-time points total for a single match against Australia, winning 44-40.
Amazingly, England, under new Coach Eddie Jones, have now reeled off 10 consecutive victories since their shocking World Cup exit.

The crushing three-match whitewash by England prompted a round of national soul-searching in Australia — at least among Rugby fans and media, with the Sunday Courier Mail newspaper even drawing a tongue-in-cheek comparison to England’s vote to leave the European Union that propelled the United Kingdom “Brexit” on Thursday.

Dan Vickerman, a retired star of the Australia rugby team, blasted the current Wallabies for displaying a lack of “aggression.”
