In what can only be described as the cutest thing ever, Leeds Taekwondo & Premier Martial Arts Center captured a video of 3-year-old white belt Sophie Wong reciting the student creed with serious verve.
The video, which has undoubtedly melted many a heart, was posted to YouTube last Thursday and has since had more than 4 million views, and watched by more than 15 million people worldwide.
As the instructor goes through the lines of the taekwondo creed, the adorable tyke yells back in a delightful high-pitched voice whilst matching her teacher’s stances and hand gestures like a true tiny champion (which so happens to be the name of her class).
According to Leeds Taekwondo on their website, “The Student Creed is a little promise that all of our Lil Dragons and Juniors make at the beginning of each class. It is a promise to our instructors, their parents, and also to themselves that they will consistently uphold the values of a black belt: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.”
Of little Sophie Wong, school owner Ricky Lam spoke admiringly of her enthusiasm in an interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post , “We’re always trying to get the best out of our young people, but for a 3-year-old I’ve never seen this type of focus and dedication. Her attitude is fantastic.”
