For those who aren’t familiar, Furious 7 star Vin Diesel is somewhat of a karaoke aficionado. A few years ago, he sang Rihanna’s “Stay” in his home, complete with the video projecting on a wall. Then he followed that up by singing Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me” during a press interview.
Diesel returned to form on Valentine’s Day to perform Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani’s “My Heart is Open.” His latest singalong happened during an interview in Italy.
To kick off the interview , the reporter asked Diesel if he could start them off with a tune.
Before diving into his phone for the right song, Diesel sung, “I love to sing even though I can’t sing. I love to sing.”
Then he jokingly said, “Guys, check this out you’re going to love this.”
Although Diesel seemed to be in happy spirits, the actor picked a very touching song that’s making fans weep for the action franchise’s late star, Paul Walker. Diesel decided to sing “See You Again,” which has been part of the promo package that honors Walker and his character, Brian O’Conner.
The song is originally performed by Charlie Puth and rapper Wiz Khalifa.
The lyrics fit perfect for the end scene of Furious 7 , which shows Brian playing on the beach with his son, as the members of the team say goodbye to him from afar.
“It’s been a long day without you, my friend / And I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again / We’ve come a long way from where we began / Oh, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again.”
After Diesel was finished with his short rendition, he said, “Now I’ve completely embarrassed myself in front of all of my Italian familia!”
It’s not an exaggeration that fans are getting teary eyed over the tribute to star Paul Walker. Many fans have tweeted about their emotional experience seeing Furious 7 .
