“The Joshua Tree Tour 2017” features U2 commemorating the 30th anniversary of their beloved 1987 album of the same name. The band plays the entire album live from start to finish, which includes hits like “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” and “With or Without You.” This is the first time U2 is touring to promote a previous album rather than a new one.
U2 also released a reissue of The Joshua Tree on Friday on CD, vinyl, and digital, featuring the album, a live recording of their Madison Square Garden 1987 concert, various outtakes and B-sides, and a book by The Edge featuring imagery from their photo session for the album in the Mojave Desert in 1986.

“When I see the people we were back then, I see a bunch of pilgrims on a journey towards some kind of creative home,” The Edge writes in the book. “I think that really does capture the spirit of the band at that time.”
U2 is also expected to release a new album called Songs of Experience , a companion piece with their 2014 album Songs of Innocence .
