Toni Braxton and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds are reportedly teaming up for a duets album. Motown Records is slated to release the collection of tunes this fall.
The “Un-Break My Heart” singer recently announced that she was joining forces oncce again with the producer. Braxton and Edmonds previously reported together on her sophomore album Secrets .
According to The Hollywood Reporter , Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Toni Braxton’s duets collaboration should hit retail shelves at some point this September. There aren’t too many details about the project currently making the rounds as of this writing.
Babyface is no stranger to penning songs for popular artists. The singer and producer previously wrote tunes for Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Madonna, and Beyonce.
Both musicians are keeping busy while they wait for Motown Records to drop the new songs. Edmonds is reportedly spending the rest of the summer on tour. Babyface is expected to make stops in Michigan, New York, Texas, and Illinois before wrapping things up in Nevada.
Rolling Stone reports that Toni Braxton is preparing to launch her own North American tour. The singer-songwriter will begin the journey across the US in Las Vegas this August. A show in Atlanta will serve as the final stop on her tour.
The tour and the duets album with Babyface serve as the first batch of projects the singer has announced since settling her bankruptcy case. The Inquisitr previously reported that Braxton was able to square away her astronomical debt by forking over a fraction of the damage.
The singer reportedly paid $150,000 to settle her bankruptcy case earlier this month. Although she can now close this chapter of her life, she lost her homes in Georgia and Nevada in the process. The singer is said to have owed between $10 million and $50 million at the time of the filing.
