When it comes to the world of television shows, there are many deaths that can happen but some end up hitting home more than others. On Sunday night, a death took place on The Walking Dead and it set the internet almost literally on fire. With the death of the main character though, many are beginning to wonder if the death really did happen.
Please let it be known that there are possible SPOILERS ahead for the current season of The Walking Dead . If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.
Seriously, if you didn’t watch Sunday night’s episode yet, stop reading now. The immediate following contains SPOILERS for episode three titled “Thank You” from season 6 of The Walking Dead .
This is your last chance.
Okay.
Yes, as recapped by Variety, and just about everyone else, “Thank You” saw the death of Glenn, played by Steven Yuen. It does appear true that The Walking Dead did indeed kill Glenn off on Sunday night, and the internet is not happy about it.
if you don’t watch #TheWalkingDead you don’t understand the actual pain the rest of us are feeling

There is a lot more, but that’s some of the calmer and more laid back hatred and sadness. Others have vowed to never watch the show again while many are already saying they will boycott Fear The Walking Dead .
No, they won’t boycott The Walking Dead as long as it’s still on because it is what they love. They just love it a little less now.
Social media is indeed filled with rage right now, but it’s also filled with a lot of skepticism. Many don’t actually believe that Glenn was killed, but it’s quite possible that he was. Still, if he wasn’t actually eaten alive by Walkers, then how’d he survive?

More than halfway through the episode, Nicholas and Glenn are standing on top of a dumpster that is absolutely surrounded by Walkers. Nicholas is incredibly freaked out by all that is going on and can’t handle all the hands and gaping mouths staring back at him.
Nicholas begins to cry and Glenn tries to calm him down so he yells at him and hopes he can get him to focus. It doesn’t work as Nicholas simply tells Glenn “thank you” and then shoots himself in the head.
As Nicholas begins to fall off the dumpster, Glenn grabs him and it knocks both of them down into the crowd of Walkers. Glenn screams as he’s being eaten. Glenn is dead. He died at the hands of the Walkers on The Walking Dead .
Comicbook.com isn’t so sure that Glenn is dead and gone. They offer a pretty good theory to it as well, but anything is possible.
Yes, it appeared as if the Walkers were taking all of Glenn’s insides and putting them on the outside. The thing is, upon closer inspection, it looks as if they were ripping into the back of Nicholas’ jacket and not into Glenn.
They couldn’t have been laying side-by-side and the way Glenn caught Nicholas, the latter would have fallen on top of the former. Maybe this shielded Glenn from the Walkers actually getting to him.
Glenn’s scream was incredibly heart-wrenching and terrifying, but it happened right as his intestines were ripped out of him. It’s hard to imagine him having enough power in him to scream out so strongly if he’s now inside-out.
Maybe Glenn found a way to sneak under the dumpster and not die. If he is dead, will the others ever really know or just think he’s gone? Maybe he’s not dead and Negan really is showing up soon with Lucille.
All of these questions remain because it’s possible that Glenn really isn’t dead. The show’s creators could have seriously screwed with the minds of all viewers and next week on The Walking Dead , Glenn may show back up. Then again, maybe he won’t.
