The Real Housewives of Miami wrapped its third season and the end of last year, and so far there has been no official word in regards to a possible season four. There have, however, been multiple reports about the show’s fate.
In the latest development, a source has spoken out claiming The Real Housewives of Miami was still not filming.
“The show is NOT taping,” a source told Radar Online on October 10, “and, as of now, has neither been renewed or cancelled. It is still in limbo, but I can definitely confirm that the show is NOT taping.”
In September, Alexia Echevarria, Adriana De Moura, Lisa Hochstein, and Marysol Patton attended a party for Venue Magazine . During the bash, Hochstein shared a photo of them with the hashtag “RHOM.” Right away, fans wanted to know if the cast was filming season four.
According to the source, that is not the case. “These four women are intentionally showing up together at events in an attempt to make it seem like the show is back on and stay relevant,” the source continued, “but that’s just not the case. These appearances are all staged.”
The source also pointed out that Krupa and Black were absent from the photo. “That should tell you something right there,” the source said. As for Patton, the source claimed that if the show did return, it is unlikely she’d be on it. “Marysol was only on the show for her mother, Elsa, and now that her mother can no longer tape the show, she definitely would not be brought back,” the source added.
At the end of last month, LALate announced The Real Housewives of Miami would return for a fourth season in spring 2015.
“Real Housewives of Miami 2015 will feature the return of Adriana de Moura, [Alexia Echevarria], and Lisa Hochstein as full housewives,” the site reported, “with Marysol Patton expected to be upgrade back from reoccurring ‘friend’ back to full housewife status as well.”
“Purveyors of Pop is set to return as the show’s production company, [and] filming production dates are fully underway,” the report continued.
If The Real Housewives of Miami does return, there is a chance two of its stars will not be included.
“Bravo is interested in doing a fourth season,” a source told RumorFix , “but they are waiting on Lea Black and Joanna Krupa to sign on. Without Lea and Joanna, producers feel there wouldn’t be a show. ”
The Real Housewives of Miami debuted its first season in February 2011.
