The Kid Laroi Buys Legendary Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Slash's Encino Mansion for $5.5 Million
With a meteoric rise in the music industry and an estimated net worth of $8 million, the Australian rapper/singer, The Kid Laroi, has purchased a luxurious mansion worth $5.5 million in Encino Hills, LA. His career has been on the upswing, and the I Guess It's Love singer has made a permanent move to Los Angeles from his native Australia. Laroi, whose given name is Charlton Howard, had been renting Beverly Hills’ Trousdale Estates neighborhood before buying the million-dollar pad in Encino, reports Dirt. The 6,000-square-foot home sits within a gated community surrounded by a half-acre lush green lot.
The French Normandy estate was originally built in 1991. Laroi bought the stunning property from Perla Hudson, the ex-wife of legendary Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash. Hudson had purchased the elite estate for an estimated $3.5 million in 2017 and sold it to Laroi five years later for a profitable deal of $5.5 million. The mansion went through extensive renovations under the previous owner, with Hudson tweaking the interiors with contemporary furniture and decor designs. The house now boasts of lively pops of color which include Irish green couches in the main living room, mauve curtains and expensive artwork showcased around the mansion.
The mansard-roofed mansion offers full privacy and its boundaries are covered with tall trees and a lush green lawn. The structure of the mansion offers a spacious open floor plan. The main selling points of the luxurious estate are its double-height entryway, the curvaceous main staircase that flows attractively, and a second staircase that beautifies the living room further. This staircase also blends into a classy marble fireplace with a serviceable snazzy wet bar.
True to its rockstar image, the Encino property offers breathtaking views of the rolling hills. Secluded and spacious, the mansion's dining space is decorated with approximately 10,000 Elvis wallpaper heads. Other features include a chef-style kitchen fitted with modern appliances, acres of countertop space, a large family room with a stacked-stone fireplace and an upstairs master retreat with a private sitting area, a cozy separate balcony and a decadent bathroom.
The two-story mansion comes with four more bedroom suites scattered throughout the floors. As for entertainment, there is a backyard swimming pool surrounded by a variety of decks and covered patios, while heightened walls of glass blur the line between indoor and outdoor living in a quintessential Southern Californian architectural style.
The Love Again rapper rose to fame with his 2020 mixtape release titled explicitly, F*ck Love, which included the smash hit single Without You. The 19-year-old singer's 2021 collaboration with Justin Bieber, Stay, topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for seven non-consecutive weeks, and he is currently managed by famed music mogul Scooter Braun.
