There’s still a week left until the next new Flash episode, but you don’t have to wait until then to get a look at what’s coming up in the rest of the season. In fact, the newest preview out teases what to expect in the next three episodes.
The new Flash promo , which you can watch below, was first posted by People . It offers a look at the villains The Flash will be facing, and there are a few familiar faces (including one from the CBS series from the 1990s), as well as some new ones, and the CW has appropriately titled the trailer “Villains Look Ahead.”
First up, on March 17, as the Inquisitr previously reported, Spartacus’ Liam McIntyre is playing Mark Mardon, the Weather Wizard, whose brother Clyde was the series premiere’s villain. Mark is back for justice for Clyde’s death, which puts Joe in danger.
In fact, the trailer itself features a reminder of the series premiere, as Cisco comments that he’s “been waiting since week 1 to use that one” when it comes to the “Weather Wizard” nickname.
ComicBook has posted the official synopsis for that Flash episode, “Out of Time.”
“LIAM MCINTYRE GUEST STARS AS THE WEATHER WIZARD; CISCO REALIZES DR. WELLS IS HIDING SOMETHING — Mark Mardon aka The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) appears in Central City intent on avenging his brother Clyde’s death, and sets his sights on Joe (Jesse L. Martin), who shot Clyde. When Mardon attacks Joe and Barry (Grant Gustin), Barry is able to super-speed them to safety but Mardon gets away. Barry warns Joe not to go after a meta-human alone but Joe doesn’t listen and ends up in grave danger. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) looks into the night the team captured the Reverse Flash and realizes something doesn’t add up and begins to wonder whether Joe was right about Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Barry and Linda (guest star Malese Jow) end up on an awkward double date with Eddie (Rick Cosnett) and Iris (Candice Patton).”
The following episode, airing March 24, “Rogue Time,” will see the returns of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), and this time, Cold’s sister, Lisa Snart (Peyton List), who was introduced when she freed them from their prison transport. The trailer shows Joe saying that Snart’s back, and those three are going to be wreaking havoc. When The Flash arrives on the scene, Captain Cold takes a moment to introduce him to his sister.
The final Flash episode teased in this trailer is from March 31, which will see Mark Hamill once again play The Trickster, and he thinks that after 20 years, he’s “come up with the perfect trick.”
Even with all these villains coming, Barry is still focused on catching one villain: the man who killed his mother. Barry is determined to travel back in time soon. Will he succeed in saving his mother?
The promo teases that “it all starts on March 17, where the last five minutes will change the course of history.”
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
