ABC will not be announcing their decision regarding the lead for the Bachelorette 2016 season for a few days yet, but fans have been buzzing about the possibilities. There had been signs pointing toward a frontrunner and now Reality Steve’s spoilers indicate that a decision has been made. Who does he say will be handing out roses this spring?
For a while now, Reality Steve’s spoilers have indicated that he was hearing buzz behind the scenes regarding both Caila Quinn and JoJo Fletcher in terms of potential leads. Of course, any of the ladies in the final four of Ben Higgins’ season were likely to be strongly considered, and Us Weekly just confirmed that the show’s pick would be one of those hometown date recipients.
After Monday’s episode aired, where Caila Quinn was eliminated, there were additional hints building up that pointed toward this bachelorette getting the gig. She did a quick appearance with Good Morning America and did some additional press, all of which laid the groundwork addressing how Caila was heartbroken by her elimination, but she was ready to find love for herself and knew it could happen on the show.
Now, Reality Steve’s spoilers indicate that the deal has been made and Caila is the show’s pick. He tweeted out the news that not only has Quinn been spotted doing filming in her hometown, but that his sources had confirmed that a final decision had been made. While the Bachelorette gossip guru initially cautioned fans that the filming may or may not mean anything significant, it only took a few additional hours for him to confirm with his insiders that the deal was done and Quinn was the pick.

Of course, ABC likely will stay mum on these Bachelorette spoilers until the March 14 “After the Final Rose” special. While filming of some of this hometown material typically takes place before the decision is officially announced, that “ATFR” special has become the standard venue for sharing the big news and this season will likely follow the same path.
How will Bachelorette fans feel about seeing Caila Quinn as the new lead? Some love her and will be thrilled, while many others were rooting for JoJo Fletcher to score the gig. Others, like Amanda Stanton and Becca Tilley, had strong contingents backing them for the spot as well. It will be interesting to see if fans can get behind this pick, as she wasn’t necessarily a frontrunner as far as the fans are concerned.

Reality Steve’s site has been running a poll asking readers whether they want Caila, JoJo, or someone else as the Bachelorette lead. Though the percentages have varied a bit, Quinn comes in third place. Fletcher takes a first place with 64 percent of the vote, with “someone else” in second place at 21 percent. Sadly, at least for readers of the site, Caila comes in third with 15 percent.
Granted, the season lead is only one part of the show and “Bachelor Nation” fans are a pretty dedicated bunch. Even if there is some question about whether Caila is mature and sincere enough to be truly looking for her future husband this spring, there will be romance, drama, and fireworks, and viewers will tune in to check it out. Whether Bachelor fans love it or hate it, it definitely looks as if Caila Quinn will be the 2016 Bachelorette .
Stay tuned for official confirmation from ABC about their Bachelorette pick being Caila Quinn, news which will likely come during the March 14 “After the Final Rose” special. Viewers will get to see Ben Higgins with his final lady , hear from the runner-up, and then get the news that either confirms Reality Steve’s Bachelorette spoilers or blows them out of the water. What do you think of the rumored decision by the network for this 2016 season?
