The 100 Season 3 finale airs next Thursday on The CW. Titled “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two,” what will happen with the characters? An extended promo has been released and it reveals that Clarke will do the unthinkable and risk her life.

In the last episode of The 100 , “Perverse Instantiation – Part One,” the plan to defeat Alie ended horribly. It turned out that one of the Sky Crew members was chipped. Fans knew this instantly when Alie appeared while the group was making their plan.

It was later revealed that it was Jasper who took Alie’s key. Not only did he surprise everyone by stabbing Monty, but he also cut the wires to the radio. This meant that Raven and Monty had no way to contact Clarke, Bellamy and Octavia to warn them. As previously reported by The Inquisitr , the trio thought their plan with King Roan would work. However, it failed miserably.

In fact, everything in The 100 Season 3, Episode 15 went wrong. Their situation seems hopeless, but the synopsis teases that there will be one last showdown between the Sky Crew and Alie.

“In the season’s epic and mind-bending conclusion, our heroes begin to face the reality of their tragic situation,” Futon Critic wrote regarding the Season 3 finale of The 100 . “Everyone prepares for a final showdown.

Even though the press release for “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two” gives few details, the extended promo gives more information. It seems that Clarke has one last idea to defeat Alie, but it is one that could end her life.

“I know how to stop Alie,” Clarke says to her mother, who appears to be back to normal, in the extended promo. “I have to go into the City of Light.”

Clarke is then seen with something in her mouth, which must be one of Alie’s chips. Next, Clarke walks through the streets of the City of Light. She encounters various members of Alie’s army and her life is in danger. Murphy tells the others that if the plan fails, then Clarke will die. The video clip also shows Clarke convulsing, which isn’t a good sign. However, by the end of the extended promo for The 100 Season 3 finale, Clarke seems to “wake up” and loudly gasps for breath.

Eliza Taylor’s character was not the only person in the extended promo for “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two.” Bellamy and Octavia continue to protect themselves against Alie’s followers. Pike is also seen in the video clip. However, will they all survive, or should fans expect at least one death?

“There’s death – No surprise there. [Laughs] There’s a pretty spectacular showdown,” Erica Cerra told IGN regarding the two-part season finale. “I think the fans are going to be really excited. It’s a pretty great last two episodes. The finale is fantastic. I think they’re going to be blown away.”

As for how Alie justifies mind control, the actress believes it isn’t about control at all. Remember, the artificial intelligence was programmed to save humanity. To her, that is what she is doing. If only one man and one woman are saved, then her program was a success.

What about Alie’s thoughts about the second AI? Cerra had a few things to say about this, too.

“As far as the second AI is concerned, she doesn’t understand it. She doesn’t even know what it is,” Cerra told IGN about how Alie views the second AI. “She has ideas of what it is and what it can do and concerns about it. She just knows she wants to get her hands on it so that it doesn’t affect her goal and doesn’t destroy her but as far as the second AI, Alie just doesn’t understand it. She wants to make sure she can get ahold of it. She knows that her creator went off to create this second AI so it must be an upgrade. ‘Is it an upgrade? Is it something to conquer me?’ She just needs to get ahold of it because she feels it belongs to her. She has her fears but she feels like it belongs to her.”

What do you think is going to happen when The CW airs “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two?” Will Clarke’s plan to go into the City of Light work or be a massive failure? The 100 ‘s Season 3 finale will air on May 19.
