Black Friday 2015 is just around the corner. Target is just one of many shopping outlets that hopes to entice you with sales too good to pass up on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and other sales, spanning from November 22 through December 13.
If you missed the advertisements, BlackFriday.com has conveniently placed both the Target Black Friday 2015 Ad and Target 2015 Toy Book — 40 pages and 80 pages, respectively — in one spot.
Christmas shopping has come to mean huge discounts on major electronics, and Target will not disappoint this year. There are three major categories when it comes to big electronics sales for Target’s Black Friday event: Apple products, video games and consoles, and TVs.
As USA Today pointed out, the Apple deals at Target include significant discounts and bundles. The Apple Watch, for example, isn’t on sale ($349), but is offered as part of a bundle with a $100 Target gift card (net $249). If an Apple Watch isn’t really your thing, you can get an iPad Mini 4 ($399) bundled with a $100 gift card, as well (net $299). Or you can get any iPad Air 2 ($499) in a bundle with a $150 gift card (net $349). If you’re looking for non-Apple music gear, the Beats Solo 2 headphones are being discounted by more than $100, at just $96.99 (although it is not bundled with anything).

Speaking of bundles, there are always great deals on gaming consoles around Black Friday, and they usually come with several different bundle options. For example, the 500GB XBox One Gears of War bundle has been marked down $50 to $299.99, and comes with a $60 gift card (net $239.99). The 500GB PlayStation 4 Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection bundle was also marked down $50 to $299.99, but does not come with a gift card.
There are a lot of offers on games, as well. Some of the biggest releases of the year ( Halo 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 ) won’t be on sale, but will be bundled with a $15 gift card. Other popular titles, such as NBA 2K16, Madden 16, and Need for Speed will be marked down $25, from $60 to $35.

Even if the sales convince you to fight off other shoppers on Black Friday, Target hopes to make the deal so sweet that you can’t resist coming back at least one more time before you’ve crossed everyone off of your Christmas shopping list. As the Star Tribune reported, anyone who spends at least $75 at Target on Black Friday will receive a 20 percent discount off an entire purchase made at Target between December 4 and 13. Since no restrictions were listed at the official Target announcement, one has to assume the 20 percent discount would applies to all items, including large items like TVs.

But if you want to buy a TV on Black Friday, Target has some offers for that, as well. On the higher-end of things, you can pick up a 49-inch 4K LG Smart TV with a $300 discount ($499.99). If you need something a little more humble, a 32-inch Westinghouse TV is on sale for just $99.99.
But if you can’t wait until Thanksgiving for a holiday season sale, you’re in luck. An announcement from corporate on November 9 revealed that Target’s first Christmas promotion of 2015 — “10 Days of Deals” — begins November 22. Not a lot of details were released yet, but Target gave us the following information about their extended shopping season.
“Beginning Nov. 22, Target’s 10 Days of Deals will feature a new discount on electronics, kitchenware, toys and more every day through Dec. 1. As part of the celebration, we’ll feature a Black Friday pre-sale on Nov. 25—those special deals will be revealed on Nov. 22 in Target’s Weekly Ad .”
There are a lot of opinions about whether or not holiday shopping should begin on Thanksgiving or be pushed back to Black Friday. But it’s hard for any store to remain competitive during this season if they aren’t open at all on Thanksgiving. As Dallas News reports, Target will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving this year, just like they did last year. As something of a standard-bearer, few competitors will be opened earlier than Target. Notable exceptions include Toys ‘R’ Us opening one hour earlier, and J.C. Penney is opening at 3 p.m.
And just in case you wanted a cat video to somehow tie into the Black Friday sales, Target has you covered below (the Roomba 650 is currently on sale for $312.99).
