Jana Duggar has seen her younger sisters Jill and Jessa get married in short order in the last year, but the 25-year-old star of 19 Kids And Counting reportedly feels no pressure to get hitched herself.
Like her sisters, Jana is following the rules of her conservative parents regarding dating and marriage, meaning that any men interested in dating her have to go through her father, Jim Bob Duggar, first. Sources close to the family say several men have stepped forward with interest in dating Jana Duggar, but that she’s rejected them all.
“Jana has been pursued by several guys,” a family insider told Radar Online .
“She has never gotten to the courting phase with anyone, but she has spoken with interested men after church.”
Jim Bob has hinted at Jana’s high standards when picking a husband. During an interview with People magazine, Jim Bob said he has been doing his best to find a match for her, but so far hasn’t been successful.
“There have been a lot of guys who have been interested in her,” Jim Bob revealed.
“I have gone to hear about each one, and so far she hasn’t felt that is the way the Lord is leading.”
Radar Online ‘s source went on to say that Jana Duggar has very high standards, and isn’t interested in dating just for the sake of dating.
“She shut it down,” the source reveals.
“The problem is that Jana’s extremely picky. She wants the real deal and won’t settle for less.”
Jana already plays an important role within her family , serving as caretaker for her many younger siblings. According to InTouch Weekly , Jana loves taking care of her siblings and even visits women’s shelters to “help entertain and visit with the little ones there.”
Jana Duggar almost made a very high-profile love connection. Rumors last year indicated that Jim Bob was trying to hook her up with former NFL quarterback and fellow devout Christian Tim Tebow. The Duggar family has been close with Tim’s mother, who is a noted pro-life speaker, and tried to hook up Tim and Jana, but nothing ever came of it.
