The children, ages seven and nine, were reported missing and abducted from their Warsaw, Missouri home just after 6:00 p.m. on Monday. According to the initial Amber Alert, their mother, Carmelita Wilson, had abducted the pair.
There has been no word on what led police to the discovery of Wilson and her two children, or what may have prompted the 39-year-old woman to take them in the first place. It is unknown if the allegedly abducted Missouri children have been reunited with their family yet, following the cancellation of the Amber Alert.
Both children are said to be in good condition early Tuesday morning. Although police are releasing few details at this time and never did release photographs of the allegedly abducted children, they have reportedly been recovered safe and sound. As for their mother, Carmelita Wilson, the woman who triggered the Amber Alert and frantic search throughout Missouri, she is reported to have been taken into police custody on suspicion of child abduction; it is unknown whether those charges may be modified. No further word is available early Tuesday, but updates on the Missouri Amber Alert are expected later Tuesday.***]
