Suits Season 6 returns with an all-new episode Wednesday, January 25, 2016 on USA Network. According to the official synopsis and latest spoilers, episode 11, titled “She’s Gone,” will focus on the aftermath of Jessica Pearson’s (Gina Torres) departure from Pearson Specter Litt.
Based on the official photos released by the USA Network, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) looked like they were having yet another argument. Cartermatt predicted that Suits Season 6 Episode 11 , will see Harvey and Louis figure out how to run the firm without her. While some fans have already seen this twist coming, a few were still quite surprised with how the mid-season finale ended.
Being the biggest asset of Pearson Specter Litt, the site pointed out that the void she left behind will not be easy to fill. Whenever Harvey and Louis had a disagreement, viewers can always rely on Jessica to smooth things over. With her gone, could this be the end for the firm?
In an interview with Deadline , Suits creator and executive producer Aaron Korsh revealed that Louis and Harvey are going to have “a little bit of struggle” with Jessica gone.
“There’s going to be a little conflict over who’s running the show and what they’re going to do and what direction they’re going to take, and we are right now formulating what they’re going to do about the name of the firm moving forward.”
Korsh shared that Donna will, once again, step in and try to find a way to bring peace back to the firm. At the end of Suits Season 6 Episode 11, Donna was said to lay out a plan of what needs to be done for Harvey and Louis to get along. But the plan calls for a more mature Harvey, one who’s willing to put the past behind.
“There’s going to be conflict, and Donna’s going to have to step in and help, and another surprise character is going to help Donna do that in 6.11,” Korsh said.
During the mid-season finale, Robert Zane offered to merge his firm with Pearson Specter Litt. While this would provide an interesting storyline, Korsh explained that it might not be the most convenient option, given that Pierce is a series regular on another show, The Odd Couple . Because of this, they don’t have unfettered access to Zane, which makes the possibility of a merger even more difficult.
Korsh also predicted that Harvey and Louis wouldn’t want to go through another merger after all they have been through. The Suits creator, however, said that they’re always keeping their options open.
“I’ll say it’s unlikely that we end up merging with him in this back six, but you never know what the future holds,” he said.
Suits Season 6 Episode 11 , “She’s Gone,” is directed by Patrick J. Adams, himself. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Adams, who plays Mike Ross on the show, revealed that it’s going to be one exciting episode. With Mike out from prison, Harvey and Louis running the firm without Jessica, Adams said that the winter premiere is going to provide a glimpse of what’s next for everyone.
This may not be the first time he’s directing a Suits episode but Adams said that it’s still comforting that he’s able to rely on co-star Gabriel Macht for advice.
“The both of us directing has sealed the brotherhood more than anything ever has. We both took the opportunity really seriously and right from the start we just made this pact that we’ve got each other’s backs. ‘Whatever you want me to do, I’ll trust it and do it.’”
