It is almost impossible in today’s world to film a movie without having major leaks surface at some point. This is especially true if the movie is shot in a public setting, which filmmakers of Suicide Squad recently learned. Following the movie’s public filming in Toronto, multiple leaks have surfaced, including Batman’s role in the film.
Although David Ayers has assured fans that the major surprises are still to come, leaked on-set photos and video have provided us with plenty of spoilers to review before the movie hits the big screens.
The first major spoiler to be revealed was the appearance of Batman on-set . After fans got a glimpse of the Batmobile on the streets of Toronto, it was clear that that caped hero would have at least a minor role in the film.
Additionally, according to What Culture , Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne) was also spotted in Toronto during filming. Although this doesn’t tell us much about Batman’s storyline in the movie, it certainly means at the very least a cameo appearance.
Meanwhile, the latest spoiler concerning Suicide Squad centers on Aquaman. According to Tech Times , Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa, will be included in the movie, though to what extent is still to be determined.
Interestingly, Aquaman is also set to be featured in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice , so it is a possibility that his character will tie in with Batman in Suicide Squad . However, there may be another reason the King of Atlantis is making a cameo.
Heroic Hollywood is reporting that Aquaman might be a prisoner of Amanda Waller. Waller is the brains and organizer behind the team of villains, and earlier rumors have pointed to the idea that she keeps his trident as a trophy. Is Aquaman being held and experimented on by Waller?
The questions surrounding Aquaman include just how he was captured by Waller. Although Heroic Hollywood is reporting that a mutated shark is the reason he got nabbed by Waller, the details concerning his character are yet to be known.
If the reports are correct, then we might be in store for an appearance of King Shark. The mutated human has been included in the Suicide Squad in the comics, and he has a history of fighting with Aquaman, so his inclusion in the film wouldn’t be that much of a stretch.
Suicide Squad is set to premiere on August 5, 2016.
