Starbucks has a lot going on as of late. First off is their newly announced Starbucks Evenings locations . Those locations around Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Portland (in Oregon), Seattle, Orlando, and Washington, D.C., will soon be serving more than Starbucks famous coffee. A peek at the Starbucks Evenings menu shows quite a bit of added fare — including select Starbucks Evenings store locations that will serve wine and beer.
Expect to see cheese plates with a varied amount of delicacies like herbed goat cheese, fig paste, and flax seed sea salt crackers to wash down with wine — but only at 4 p.m. and later. Starbucks explains that the relaxed environment in selected locations will still give customers the ability to order their favorite coffee beverages along with wine, if they so choose.
“Can I order a glass of wine with my lunch? The Starbucks Evenings menu will be available every day from 4 p.m. to regular closing hours.”
According to NBC News , the Starbucks Evenings locations will also serve beer to go along with food like prosciutto ham, Cacciatore salami with grissini breadsticks, and sweetie drop peppers. Indeed, Starbucks is surely seeking to draw crowds away from local bars or other eateries with their new wine and beer locations. The delectable menu choices with snacks like artichoke spinach dip with pita chips are a tempting choice to help consumers think of Starbucks as a place to hit up in the evenings, not just the mornings.
However, those Starbucks lovers who love to use their Starbucks app to pay for their coffee and breakfast squares might want to check their bank accounts , reports CNN Money . The site claims that thieves have been using the Starbucks app and gift cards to steal money from customers’ bank accounts. The 16 million or so folks who rely on Starbucks gift cards and the mobile app to pay for their drinks and foods are potentially at risk for theft from hackers hitting up PayPal accounts, credit and debit cards — as well as bank accounts.
For their part, Starbucks says their mobile app wasn’t hacked , reports Fortune , so it’s best to stay on the safe side and check your accounts all the same. Disabling the auto-reload feature is recommended.
As reported by the Inquisitr , Starbucks is no longer using drought-ravaged California as the source of its Ethos water. Therefore, those who love meatballs made from beef and sausage with tomato basil sauce could consider giving their new Starbucks Evenings locations a try.
