The Denver PD tweeted about the breaking incident,

The Denver police department even had a live stream of the incident on Periscope .

These events transpired during The Colorado Motorcycle Expo taking place at the Denver Coliseum. CBS News claims that the event — showcased by the National Western Complex website — is supposed to be scheduled through 7 p.m. Sunday.

The event is described as “The largest motorcycle show & swap in the Rocky Mountain Region with antiques, custom motorcycles — live music auction — much, much more!”

The Denver Coliseum has also been home to many other events, expos, and sports teams in Denver. But recent events may have altered that as reporters are on the scene as well, tweeting the shooting/stabbing

Brendaliss Gonzalez, a reporter for Denver 7 , also confirmed that no one is currently allowed inside of the stadium currently.

Denver’s 9 News reports that the Denver Police say two people were shot and one person was stabbed on East 46th Avenue and Humboldt Street — near the Denver Coliseum. However, Denver Health tweeted that a total of nine people were transported to area hospitals after the incident.

A substantial number of Police officers were also present at Denver Health to monitor the victims. No word on their conditions have been released yet.

CBS local, Denver also reported from the scene and captured some of the action from their news copter . Reporters say that the shooting happened at approximately 1 p.m. at the Coliseum.

The local Denver news station verifies that the injured were rushed to Denver Health Medical Center from the Denver Coliseum as well.

They also cite that their were police officers outside of the Denver hospital. It was there when Denver Police broke the grim news that one victim has died from the incident so far, via Twitter.

Investigative reporter, Chuck Goudie, of ABC 7 also confirms that the death toll so far is one among many victims.

His tweet also implies that biker gang activity is the motive behind the violence at the Denver bike show. But contrarily, police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez says that police couldn’t say whether any gangs were involved yet, according to the Associated Press .

Lopez says multiple people were injured but she couldn’t provide a number. She couldn’t say whether any gangs were involved.

Colorado is no stranger to mass shootings unfortunately, with the unprecedented tragedy that was the Columbine High School shootings and the Dark Knight Rises shootings taking place in the Centennial State.

Or more recently, as reported by the Inquisitr earlier this month, when two Colorado teen girls were arrested for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at Mountain Vista High School in the Denver area.

So far, no arrests have been made, one person has died, and police are still investigating. The story and full details are still in development.
