Sprint Wireless Rolls Out 4G LTE In 21 New Markets

Sprint Wireless on Thursday announced the roll out of 4G LTE technology in 21 new markets.

According to Sprint, the company is now offering service in areas that include Los Angeles, Contra Costa County, California; Charlotte, North Carolina; Norfolk, Virginia; and Memphis, Tennessee.

In celebration of the new 4G LTE locations, Sprint Wireless is offering customers who switch to Sprint service $100 off any smartphone with a two-year service agreement.

4G LTE competition is heating up in the United States as more customers turn away from traditional voice services in favor of mobile gaming, social networking, and VoIP calling services.

AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile USA have all been busily rolling out their own forms of 4G LTE technology.

Sprint Wireless has attempted to woo customers with deep phone discounts and the promise of unlimited voice, text, and data with its premium wireless plans.

The company has seen some growth in recent years thanks to the iPhone line of smartphones and the meteoric rise of the Google Android OS.

Speaking of his company’s new 4G LTE offerings Bob Azzi, a senior vice president at Sprint writes:
