Snoop Dogg is a busy man these days. Not only is he busy with his legendary rapping career, but he also runs several businesses on the side.
It appears all of that hard work has been catching up with him. An alleged inside source told HipHollywood that Snoop Dogg has been secretly hospitalized at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles recently for an undisclosed medical condition. Although, the Feb. 25 report isn’t clear on the exact date he may have been hospitalized, Snoop has admitted he’s suffered from various health problems in the past due to working too hard on his business ventures.
Snoop Dogg spoke with HipHollywood at Wednesday night’s All Def Movie Awards, where he revealed that he sometimes pushes himself too hard.
“I’m just working myself a lot. Anytime you work yourself a whole lot sometimes you gotta step back and analyze your body. I’m not a machine, I’m not a robot, but at times I feel I am because I just go and I give the people what I want.”
Despite his health problems, Snoop revealed that he’s working on an upcoming tour with Dr. Dre, among others. He revealed that the reason he’s working so much isn’t because of the love of money. In fact, Snoop loves working and doing his G-thang.
“We’re trying to get it together. Dre said he want it to be myself, him, Kendrick, Eminem. It’s a wishlist that can possible become a reality if all parties agree. I’d love to make it happen. I love everybody involved and I ain’t trying to get all the money. I just want what I’m worth and I’m gonna’ ‘do what I do.”
Another reason for Snoop’s stress and health problems is because he’s still in mourning over the tragic death of his grandmother. The rapper has taken to various social media sites to post a series of emotional messages. The hip-hop star, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., lost Grandma Tate, on his mother’s side. Snoop shared several photos of his beloved grandmother on Instagram and Twitter on Thursday, Feb. 25.
He also shared a poem written by John F. Connor, which reads, “Death wont keep us apart/For our love is forever/Just remember me in your heart/And one day we will be together/Live your life and live it full/don’t waste a single day/Remember I am always with you/Every step of the way.”
In the caption , Snoop wrote, “I. Never left u. So beautifully put. Grandma I will always do right by u. R I P.[sic]”
He also took to social media to share various poems to honor his grandmother. Snoop then shared a photo of himself with his wife, Shante, and their grandson. Back in March 2014, Snoop mourned the death of his Uncle June Bug who lost his battle to colon cancer.
Later this year, Snoop Dogg will have to return to court in a trial against Pabst Brewing Company for breach of contract and interference with contractual relations, according to The Hollywood Reporter . In 2011, the rapper landed a three-year endorsement deal with the company. Snoop was said to be the brand ambassador for the company’s new fruity malt liquor, Blast by Colt 45. According to Snoop’s lawyer, Alex Weingarten, the rapper should have received 10 percent of the selling price, as stated in the contract.
When Pabst was sold to Blue Ribbon Immediate Holdings for $700 million in 2014, Snoop never received his portion of the share.
In other news, Snoop Dogg landed a huge deal with Canopy Growth’s subsidiary Tweed. According to the securities filings, the company paid Snoop about $1,000,000 in stock. Little is known about the deal, including how Snoop will become the face of the company.
Snoop is no stranger to the marijuana business. Last year, he launched his own marijuana line , Leafs by Snoop, along with his own cannabis lifestyle website , MaryJane.com.
