Shaquille O’Neal just learned the hard way the old cliche, “the bigger they are, the harder they fall.”
The 7-footer was on the set of TNT’s Inside the NBA halftime show when he stood to walk over to the video board but got caught up in his microphone wiring. The big man stumbled to the floor , where he laid sprawled out while his co-hosts burst into laughter.
The analysts weren’t the only ones who were amused by Shaq’s big fall. Many others took to the internet to have a laugh at his expense.

Did you feel that?! No, it wasn’t an earthquake. It was Shaq hitting the floor: http://t.co/nqU3sLGsdc pic.twitter.com/FWzFHlObKd — E! Online (@eonline) May 7, 2015
The clip of Shaq falling on the set also took on a life of its own, and within minutes, there were parodies hitting the internet.

The clumsy moment went viral almost instantly. Within minutes of the fall the first videos started hitting the web, and by the end of the first hour, Shaq’s fall was the top trending term on Twitter, getting more than 100,000 separate tweets on it.
This actually is not the first time that Shaq has fallen on the set of TNT’s Inside the NBA . Back in 2013, he and his fellow co-hosts were running a suicide drill when the former NBA player’s dress shoes slipped on the floor of the studio.
Shaq was sent tumbling to the ground, which his co-hosts again found hilarious.
For those watching who might be worried, Shaquille O’Neal was all right after his fall, and after dusting himself off a bit, he returned to the desk to finish up the halftime show.
