Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may be just good friends, but it seems the Latina may have got to that point after working through her feelings about their relationship on her Stars Dance album.
In an interview with Saturday Night Online, the 21-year-old admitted two of the songs on her album were the hardest she’s ever recorded because they are so personal.
So, which songs were they? “Forget Forever” and “Love Will Remember.”
“Both of those are really strong tracks and very fun and emotional as well,” Selena reveals, then adds , “It was really liberating.”
The brunette previously told a magazine that “Love Will Remember” is about her nearly three year relationship with Justin. The couple first split last November, reuniting and breaking up a number of times since then and starring in joint Instagrams.
“Obviously, ‘Love Will Remember’ is a personal song to me,” Selena confided to InStyle. “And I don’t really need to say anything. I think my fans will get it. I think people will figure it out themselves.”
Referring to her superstar ex-beau, the ex-Disney star added: “I’m sure he’ll like it too.”
Despite lots of hype about “Love Will Remember’s” voicemail introduction, which features a male caller declaring undying love for Gomez, the star corrected that myth last month.
In an Entertainment Tonight interview which aired on July 22, incidentally the same day she turned 21, Selena dealt with the voicemail debate head on.
“Um, that’s not real,” she replied to a query on whether Bieber was on the song.
Amid fairly unbelievable rumors that her family wanted to “stage an intervention” to stop her from seeing Justin when she was supposedly going back and forth in the relationship, Selena’s focus is now on her tour.
Having kicked off the 58-date trek on August 14 in Vancouver, the star’s Canada shows continue.
Tonight Selena performs in Winnipeg, and there’s every chance the singer taking center stage will be a liberated one.
