Scott Disick is reportedly devastated at the sudden passing of his mother last week, taking a somber trip back to New York with long-time girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian to mourn her loss.
Bonnie Disick, 63, died October 28 following a long illness. Her wake was held in New York a few days later, with the death reportedly hitting Scott very hard.
‘It’s true, Scott’s mother did pass away and he’s extremely sad about it,” a family friend confirmed to MailOnline .
Scott was seen in New York with Kourtney, trading in his usual suits and slick hair for ripped grey jeans and a baseball jacket.
The funeral for Scott Disick’s mother was held in her native Long Island, and was reportedly a small affair.
“There was just a handful of people,” a source said. “No other Kardashians beyond Kourtney attended. But the entire family is saddened with the news of Bonnie’s passing. They loved her so much.”
Things didn’t get easier for Scott Disick when he returned back to Los Angeles. He was seen on Thursday taking a shopping trip to Barneys New York, but witnesses said he still looked downcast and somber.
Bonnie Disick and her husband Jeff were familiar to fans of the Kardashian family reality show series. The couple was seen on a 2011 episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York when Kourtney brought son Mason to visit his grandparents in the Hamptons. Her sister Khloe Kardashian Odom joined them for the trip.
The death comes at what has been a difficult stretch for Scott Disick. In August he had to take a DNA test to prove that he is the father of Kourtney Kardashian’s child Mason after male model Michael Girgenti filed a paternity lawsuit .
Kourtney released a statement, saying : “After three-and-a-half years of rumors and lies being spread by an individual I met briefly at a photo shoot, I am setting the record straight that Scott is Mason’s father. While it saddens me to have to address these ridiculous lies—especially when the truth was never in doubt—this story must be put to rest.”
The test proved that Scott Disick was indeed Mason’s father .
