Sarah Palin took to her Facebook page to issue a defiant statement in defense of her eldest daughter Bristol, who recently received threatening packages on the Dancing with the Stars set.
Bristol Palin is currently in Los Angeles, where she is competing on Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars . Bristol hasn’t exactly proven the most popular contestant in the show’s history, and one particularly deranged viewer was driven to send a package containing a suspicious white powder to the Dancing with the Stars set at the CBS Studio Center. An accompanying note read, “This is what will happen to you if Bristol Palin stays on [the show].”
This in turn provoked a protective slam from Sarah Palin, with the conservative politician announcing on her Facebook page :
“I’m in California today to support Bristol. I’m sorry to see that she’s again getting those annoying death threats and more ‘mysterious white powder’ sent to her while on Dancing with the Stars this All-Star season. These threats sure waste a lot of time, production and public resources; but do the haters really think this will stop Bristol and Mark and the show’s producers from keepin’ on keepin’ on? Silly critics – after all these years of goofy antics like this we find these efforts are actually quite motivating! Bristol’s not letting this get her down.”
After urging fans to vote for Bristol on the show, she rounds off her post by parroting a Bristol quote about the affair:
“Hey, the haters will hate anyway; the critics will criticize, so you might as well dance!”
