Sarah Jones: Former Bengals Cheerleader Opens Up About Her Affair With A Student

Former Bengals cheerleader, Sarah Jones , and her student/lover, Cody York talked publicly about their romance for the first tme since news of the scandalous affair initially made headlines. The couple claims that though everything has been against them from the start, they believe that their love with triumph.

The Dateline NBC interview will not air until Friday evening, but excerpts from the highly-anticipated segment indicate that intricate details will be revealed. The former Dixie Heights High School educator admits that what she did was wrong, but then goes on to explain why she felt the need to cover up her affair with a student for so long, according to the Daily Mail .

Sarah had this to say about entering into a relationship with a student:

“It is wrong for a teacher to have any type of a relationship that crosses the line with a student, there is no gray area. What I did was wrong. And I feel guilty as to what happened and that other people were hurt in this, in a sense from our families having to go through this.”

Cody, now 18, also spoke freely about having an affair with his teacher, since the legal case is over. The teenager claims that Jones did not manipulate him and that he entered into the intimate relationship willingly.

York had this to say about his affair with a former Cincinnati Bengals Cheerleader:

“She did not use her power of authority over me to manipulate me. I didn’t like being called the victim, because I wasn’t a victim. I wasn’t a victim of anything. I don’t remember the exact moment it all began. Every time I would see her outside of school, it would hit me harder and harder and harder every time and that’s just how it started.”

The recent high school graduate also noted that keeping the love affair with his teacher a secret was difficult, and stated how much he wanted to tell his buddies that Sarah Jones was his girlfriend. The former teacher also stated that her young boyfriend told her how beautiful she looked in her mugshot, and noted that was how she knew he really loved her. Her high school sweetheart and ex-husband, Nathan Wilburn, called her “scum” and a “conniving liar” after the guilty verdict was read.
