Here’s an odd story to start your day. AT&T customers in Salt Lake City who tried to call 911 recently have been redirected to an emergency services call center in Seattle.
The customer who reported the issue was first told that his iPhone’s GPS system was saying he was located in Seattle, which was not the case. After further investigation local police realized they couldn’t make calls to their own services via AT&T either.
Here’s a video account of the incident.
In the meantime it is suggested users call from a landline or hunt down their local dispatches 10 digit phone number until a solution is found. [ Engadget ]
