Kyle Richard’s relationship with Kim has certainly seen its ups and downs over the years. Most recently, the two sisters have been locked in a long feud with each other. However, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars are now ready to put aside their differences following a death in the family.
According to Radar Online , Monty Brinson, Kim’s former husband, passed away after a long fight with cancer. Although Brinson’s passing comes at an unfortunate time for Kim, who has been battling her own issues with substance abuse, it has also been a catalyst for the two sisters to finally reunite.
In fact, an inside source told the outlet that Kathy has volunteered to pay for the funeral costs while Kim deals with the tragic passing of her ex-husband. Although Brinson’s death was not unexpected, an inside source told the outlet that Kim “is beyond inconsolable.”
Fortunately, Kyle has decided to end her feud with Kim in order to help her sister through this difficult time. One way Kyle Richards is doing this is by ensuring that Kim doesn’t have to worry about the details of the funeral.
“Even though Kim knew Monty was dying, she had prayed and hope for a miracle. Monty had lived twelve months beyond what doctors had said was the time he had left,” the source stated. “Kathy is stepping in and taking care of paying for a memorial/funeral service. Those plans are still being made, but Kim won’t need to worry about anything.”
Brinson and Kim were married for three years back in the 1980s and had one daughter together. Although their marriage didn’t work out in the long run, the two remained close friends throughout the years. In fact, Kim posted a heartfelt message on Instagram shortly after Brinson’s passing, noting just how close she and Brinson had grown.
“Yesterday I said goodbye to best the friend I’ve ever had in my life.. Monty was an amazing person with an amazing soul… We shared over 30 years of Love & Happiness and brought a beautiful daughter into world. I am so grateful for all that we shared. I know we will be together again one day,” Kim wrote in her post.
The reality star went on to share additional kind words towards her ex-husband, highlighting just what his friendship meant to her over the years.
“I love you Monty. My angel in heaven… and I know that we be together again one day,” she wrote. “I will carry you in my heart always my love… until then, may you rest in peace.”
While Kim remains in a state of mourning, other family members have taken to social media to express their support and offer condolences for Brinson’s passing. One of those family members was Paris Hilton, who posted an assortment of photographs dedicated to his memory on Instagram .
“Heartbroken to hear the sad news of my Uncle @MontyBrinson’s passing after his long brave battle with cancer. He was such an incredible man with such a huge heart. He was so insightful & positive about life, even with all he was going through,” Hilton wrote. “He always had a smile on his face & lit up the room with his positive energy & fun personality. He will be truly missed.”
While Brinson’s death marks yet another sad chapter in Kim’s life, at least her relationship with Kyle is one positive thing to come out of the tragedy. Hopefully, the two sister’s will be able to fully reconcile their relationship and continue to be there for each other when it matters the most.
