The Real Housewives of Orange County ‘s 10th season features just five full-time housewives, which has left fans wondering what happened to Lizzie Rovsek. Although Rovsek will be seen in a limited role on the show, her full-time role no longer exists. So, did she quit filming during The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 of the show, or did producers give her the boot?
According to a May 12 report by Celebrity Dirty Laundry , Rovsek may have quit The Real Housewives of Orange County because of her co-star Tamra Barney’s alleged bullying.
Celebrity Dirty Laundry also claimed that because of Rovsek’s reported decision to quit the show amid filming, Meghan King Edmonds, who stars as the newest full-time housewife on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10, is not just a new wife, but Rovsek’s replacement.
On Sunday, after news of The Real Housewives of Orange County ‘s premiere date and cast hit the web, Rovsek, as the Inquisitr reported, took to Instagram, where she told fans she would no longer be seen in a full-time role.
“The ladies of the OC are back,” Rovsek announced .
“Season 10 starts June 8th on Bravo. I won’t be a main housewife this season, but I will be returning as a friend. Buckle up, it’s gonna be a wild ride! @vickigunvalson @heatherdubrow @shannonbeador @meghankedmonds @tamrajudge #RHOC.”
Rovsek joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County during Season 9, along with Shannon Beador and Danielle Gregorio (who will not be seen on Season 10). At the time, the three women were brought to Bravo to fill the empty spaces left by Alexis Bellino and Gretchen Rossi, who were reportedly fired months prior — although they both deny it.
Although rumors have claimed Rovsek quit The Real Housewives of Orange County because of drama with Tamra Barney, she denied tension between her and Barney during an interview with Perez Hilton just weeks ago.
“Tamra and I are great. We are in a really good place, we have been getting along and having a lot of fun. We had a great time on the trip together. Last year was pretty brutal, and we went through a really hard time even after we stopped filming, and, you know, today, I’m happy to say that we are getting along, and things are really good.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 premieres on June 8 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
